The sound of an acoustic guitar is immediately recognizable. And yet, it still conveys a depth of natural beauty that makes you pause every time you hear it. You can’t help but be drawn into the music. The effect is most prominent when there are no other competing sounds. No vocals. No drums. No effects processing. Just one person’s fingers plucking the strings of a hollow, wooden instrument.
I got into classical guitar many years ago after learning the finger-picking patterns heard on many country-western recordings. Having finally bridged the gap between distinct styles of music, I began learning everything I could. I never feel as close to the music as I do when playing solo, finger-style guitar.
Solo guitar is the perfect compliment for a wide variety of occasions, from weddings and religious events to parties and small get-togethers. There is nothing quite like it to set the mood for an event.
